2020 Review

2020 was a hard year. Despite the challenges, we were still able to make some beautiful work. Here’s a few projects I had the privilege of directing that were released in 2020.

Filmmaking is a team sport. I’m grateful for all the collaborators who helped make these films!

@jonathanrothermel who co-produced most of these films.

@sebasnieves who DP’d quite a few projects with me this year.

@andrewbilindabagabo the all-star producer and his better half @carleyhopebilinda.

@lamphousefilms (@joshhenry190 + @realschmucker) and @triodestudios (@evanscudner) – some of my favorite people to collaborate with in various ways!

@swallows the best 1AC with the best dance moves.

@laurenzehr for keeping us on schedule.

@kevinerdvig who always brings a smile and a helping hand to set.

@j_o_s_h_is_____ the man, the myth, the legend.

@kinseyaudio for making everything sound better.

@gratefulhophead brought light to our world (figuratively and literally as gaffer).

@covertfilm making that easyrig look easy.

@wulfgar_productions everyone’s favorite production assistant who always crushes it.

@willertree the dancer / set decorator extraordinaire.

@danielrothermel the PA turned actor, watch out Leonardo.

@clairecollison keeping us sharp.

@ibbersonvisuals with the late night pizza run and solid camera work.

@cristinarbyrne + @jeanettebicking who designed some magic.

@delaluzcolorist working wonders with the color grade.

@weddingsbyloladaisy who blessed us with some amazing BTS photos.

@disciplemediatv even though life got in the way this year, I’m hopeful for 2021.

@ryan.m.lewis from rockstar to sound professional, always a good friend.

@shadesofblushstudio for making talent look extra good.

If I accidentally missed someone, please know how thankful I am for your help making these films in 2020! (And I’ll make you cookies or something to make up for my memory lapse!)

Lastly, a huge thanks to my amazing wife @sarithasees for always graciously enduring the wild ride that is filmmaking and all the 12-16 hour work days!

2021: bigger goals, bigger risks – let’s get it. ✌🏼
